Frequently asked questions
How should I price my work?
Work out how many billable hours you have in a month, not how many hours you work. Writing quotes, travelling and admin are not billable and are often a third of the time, and your rate has to cover that gap too. Anyone dividing a monthly target by eight-hour days is systematically underpricing.
What do I do about cancellations and no-shows?
Have a written policy and state it at booking, not once something has already gone wrong. A twenty-four hour cancellation window and a fee stated in advance handles most cases, because most people are not being difficult, there is simply no consequence.
What makes a profile people actually book?
Real photographs of your own work, a concrete starting price, and a description that says what you do not do. That last one filters out the enquiries that would have cost you an hour anyway, and it is exactly what makes you read as confident.
